Jonah Dixon - Owner/Designer of Maluhia Designs from the Pacific Northwest.
I started Maluhia Designs in 2005 and at that time I specialized in Hawaiian/Polynesian costumes and accessories. In early 2007, I took a break from 12 years of Polynesian dancing and so did the costume designing part of my business. I decided to focus more on designing handbags, personal accessories and small home accessories that are made from Japanese Kawaii fabric. Maluhia Designs handbags and accessories can be found online at www.maluhia-designs.com, Happy Delusions in Renton, WA and the yearly Holiday shows with Crafty Wonderland and Urban Craft Uprising. Please check with her blog for more updated info www.maluhia22.blogspot.com.

Kristen - Owner/Designer of gock's frocks from the Northeast.
I am a SHAM to 3 kids - 2 boys & 1 girl.
I have been sewing since I was
about 8 when my Grandma Gocker taught me to handsew. When I was in
middle school she took me under her wing and taught me to use her
faithful Kenmore sewing machine when we made a prairie skirt &
petticoat (am I dating myself yet?). In high shcool I took a semester
long sewing class where we got to make more than your standard pillow
and pajama pants and that is when my love for sewing really took off.
I
sewed for myself through college and the early years of marriage but
once we had kids my focus switched to making outfits for them to match
their friends. 3 years ago I took the leap into cyberspace and
started selling on eBay - I chose the name - gock's frocks - in tribute
to the fabulous woman who taught me to sew - grandma gocker. At 87 she
is still tickled to see what comes off of my sewing machine each week.
My
daughter, now 8, is the proud owner of her own machine and loves to keep
me company in my studio (a.k.a. the basement) while she works on her own
creations as I work on mine.

Jenn Cooper - Owner/designer of takeabowcreations from the Midwestern US.
Long time Kansas City resident....living in the burbs but secretly wishing I lived in a rambling, old, rickety farmhouse. Mommy to three insanely sweet children. Violinist by education, clothing designer and photographer by love. Lover of all things vintage, kitschy, colorful, and full of pattern. Creator of yo-yos, little girl dresses, and images of my children I never want to lose. Grateful for a creative spirit and friends who encourage my excessive need to make things. Hoarder of fabric, picture frames, and all things green.

Mary Abreu - Owner/Designer of flourishes from the South.
I spent my childhood wearing clothes sewn by my mother and could not wait to have a daughter of my own so I could do the same. Fourteen years after the birth of my first child (a boy), my wish was finally granted. In addition to sewing for daughter Liesl, I sew and sell my creations on Etsy (http://flourishes.etsy.com) and eBay (*flourishes*). I document my many crafty adventures (successful and otherwise) on my blog, Confessions of a Craft Addict (http://confessionsofacraftaddict.com).
and of course, ME!
We will also be featuring guest designers on a bi-monthly basis. These may be "big name" fabric, pattern or quilt designers, as well as those who sew for their own pleasure. All fabric lovers are welcome!
